The United Charities drive has begun for this year in the Scranton community. Donations cards have been placed in Scranton water bills and mailed to others in the area. Residents are asked to return donations by Nov. 1.
This is the only donation drive for many of these charities listed for this year. The committee asks that residents consider what their donation means to the charities. They thank you so very much.
Organizations included in the fund drive are: Greene County Food Pantry (ARC), Community Opportunities, congregate meals, Scranton Little League, Scranton Kids Fishing Day, Scranton Community Center, Scranton fire department, Scranton public library, Scranton park and rec, Scranton Sweet Treats, local emergency / disaster funds and other.
